Hello Friends, This is my new blog where I will come with different recipes. I am a bachelor who stays away from home, friends its really hard to get home made hygienic food outside. So necessity become a sort of hobby and today I really love to cook food. Oh Sorry, I diverted away from the topic. Come on, let's see how to make Panner at home.
I have been using Paneer since quite a while, But most of the branded Panner available in the market is really not upto the mark. I will not name any but I think you have got my point.
Making Panner at home is really a piece of cake. Anyone can make it.
Panner which is also known as cottage cheese can be prepared at home by a few ingredients including Milk and lemon. Now I will tell you how you have to make it.
For this we require:
Ingredients
- 1 litre full cream milk,you can have Amul gold or Amul diamond whichever is available to you(you can have any variety of milk but I use Amul diamond milk to make the panner at home).
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice.
- Muslin cloth
- Bowl with heavy weight.
How to make Paneer:
1. Take a pan pour milk into it and put it on a flame.
2. As soon as the milk boils add lemon juice to it.
3. As the milk curdles, remove it from the flame.
4. Strain the milk in the muslin or cheese cloth and wash it under water so any lemon tangy taste in it will be removed.
5. Drain the whey.
6. Slowly collect the muslin or cheese cloth together with the coagulated milk get tightened enough in the cloth.
7. Place it on plain surface and put a heavy weight on it to get it set.
8. Check after 30-40 minutes if the Panner is all set.
9. Cut the Panner pieces into any shape you like.
10. You can refrigerate the Paneer for 3-4 days.
Now go on you can make many delicious recipes from this Panner. In my next blog I will tell you how to make Rasmalai at home.
